Fried Green Tomatoes...
I take them from the vine and into the house. While I'm prepping the tomatoes, I melt a couple tablespoons of lard in a cast iron pan. I slice and dredge the tomatoes a corn meal, salt, pepper (subsitute any seasonings you might like) mixture and fry them until golden brown in the lard. That's about the simplest, cleanest tasting recipe I've tried for them. I'm not growing tomatoes this year, so no FGT for me. Then again, I shouldn't eat like that anymore.

There was DEFINITELY a thread talking about the virtues of redheads.
I even posted a picture of Molly Ringwald to it.

Steve - I can tell you are not at college!!

Chris,
Steve's keyboard has been flappin' like a whippoorwills (ahem) in a windstorm.
I'm lovin' everyminute of it.

Actually I have been studying - though I am not taking classes this summer.
Circumstances have kept me in, babysitting you might say. I have read over 300 pgs of on-line text, taken a bunch of practice tests, I lost count of 'writing" I've done for something else. I take care of what has to be taken care of [ laptops are portable, never know where I am ] , I have been taking power naps, taking a break now and then [ hence my keyboard flapping to unwind...calm before the storm you migh say] . Lots of irons in lots of fires.
I had to sort out a 'puter problem and had 223 emails come thru - granted not all were important, some I had taken care of via web-based email, still I have been humping it to take care of really important ones. Seems my "Professional" and one "Personal" account - well *whew* - humping it like I said.
Nothing much on other forums, nothing a search would not answer anyway. So I read them sometimes. I do most of my gun stuff off forum. Always have , just gonna stay with PM, email, and landline on stuff moreso is all.
Other interests forum -wise - I lurk. I have to spend enough time on-line for Cisco and everything College related anyway as is. I dunno - sometimes I just want to unwind and have fun.
There is more to responsible firearm ownership - than firearms.
