Yep, I've had the live feed(s) running on my tablet. Fingers crossed for a successful bellyflop.
ETA: Right now SpaceX's Live feed is due to start at 1100 ET. I think the launch is currently scheduled for like 1300. Don't quote me on that.

The first link in the SpaceX feed. As I write this, it's showing T-51 minutes to launch. Their banner above the chat feed says "fly at 10:00am local" (they are CST).

"SpaceX Missions " isn't the official channel.
SpaceX is: https://youtu.be/nf83yzzme2I
They aren't even live yet. But the whole schedule in flux a little.

Looks like they folded the wings out. progress.

Internal systems abort at T-1.3 seconds.

Back up
Says they could try again today anytime between 09:00-17:00 CT.

NASA spotter planes airborne https://www.flightradar24.com/N967NA/2643838f
Should be an WB-57 around somewhere. Maybe hasn't taken off yet.
-
The WB-57 may be NASA967.
A plane from Houston with a NASA call sign was IDed as an WB-57 yesterday and this took off from Houston but is not showing plane type today.
This usually means a launch is imminent

N967NA looks to be a T-38 by your link. Tail number search seems to confirm it.
-
an WB-57
Semantic silliness, but doesn't that feel like an incorrect use of the a/an indefinite arcticle? "W" is pronounced "woo" or "whu" in words, but in the acronym/designator for the aircraft it would be pronounced "doubleyou," right? Unless we're using ATC phonetic alphabet, in which case it is "Whiskey." When I go to the bar, I ask for a whiskey, not an whiskey.
Is this a woob-fiftyseven? Or a doubleyou-bee-fiftyseven? Or a whiskey-bravo-five-seven? Or is it something else that would conventionally use "an" as an indefinite article?

Yeah, saw that one. Looking for the WB-57 that usually is around for launches. It was buzzing around yesterday as N927NA.

a/an. Blame it on the Russians and/or fast typing and laziness
How about we just say Whiskey Bravo 57 and leave it alone
-
False alarm, looks like the T-38 and the other AC are landing at the local AP. If you see a WB-57 airborne in the area then a launch may be imminent.
Edit: Or maybe not. They just went low right pass the AP. Stop messing with my head.
-
They haven't even started fueling yet and personnel are still on site. It'll still be awhile. Probably a few hours
-
People making bets on whether of not it winds up in the Gulf, the somewhat nearby residential area, or as flaming wreck on the landing pad. Musk is giving it a 30% chance of success according to one of the live feeds.
-
Fueling
-
Started venting tanks with just over 2 minutes to go. Darn it.
-
May be repressurizing.
Someone said something about a range violation
-
SpaceX livestream is saying "Clock paused standing by for new T-0"
-
Someone said it was a Cessna. Saw one on radar. But someone said it was a boat in the range.
-
According to the comments on one of my streams it was a 172 in the airspace.
Someone's fixing to have an awkward day....
ETA:
Yep. N7720X. A Cessna 172 wandered into the restricted airspace. Flightaware has their track up, and the panic 180 turn they pulled is pretty funny.
-
The Cessna 172 was maybe ~20Km at closest On one stream they were showing what was maybe a fishing boat hightailing it out of the range area.
-
Now calling for 4:40 CST
-
Musk seriously needs a more remote testing area

Musk seriously needs a more remote testing area
Probably hard to balance an area remote enough to safely launch big, explosive rockets and an area not too remote to cost-effectively build and fuel big, explosive rockets.

Yep
-
There is a lot of support infrastructure at Canaveral for launches.
-
Ooopsie on the landing. And it was all going so well...

-
Boom today
-
Missed it by " " that much.
Looks like they didn't shed enough velocity. Maybe should have re-lit the big candle a little sooner.
-
Green engine exhaust at the very end may indicate an engine failure plus the landing legs didn't deploy.
Think I recall seeing somewhere green indicates the engine is basically eating itself.

Not just the engine. The whole thing ate itself.
-
SpaceX personal heading to the landing pad with duct tape.
-
Honestly, that was pretty solid.
They got like 90% there on the first try, stable bellyflop, landing flip back to stable vertical orientation, and on target. Good stuff.
SN9 will be on the pad next week.
-
Musk said it was lack of header tank pressure at final burn

SN8 aced everything else. Bloody awesome work today. SN9, you're up. =D
-
Green could be from the copper in the engine from something just read.
At startup it can be green from the TEB used to ignite the engine

This
Musk himself give it only a 30% chance.

Ooooopsie.
NASA had its own growing pains.

Go home SN9, you're drunk

Technically SN9 is at home.

What was going through SN8's mind.

BTW: To go with the above the third Raptor engine on SN8 was Raptor #42.
-

I just learned that Raptor doesn't utilize any TEB. It uses a gaseous hydrogen oxygen torch igniter.
The green came from copper being burned out of the engine by a suddenly lox rich mix. Engine rich exhaust.

No catalytic converter?

No catalytic converter?
Don't give the EPA any ideas especially considering the incoming admin. Don't forget it was an EPA ruling that messed up the shuttle's external tank foam coating
