It's not too hard to figure out how this happens.  If a child is in foster care, she is the ward of the court.  The judge effectively has parental authority.

So, do we still want to insist that children aka people under 18 have no rights?

Parents or legal guardians cannot force a kid to have an abortion either (If that is what you were talking about).

but a judge can  apparently   with a lil help from a pro social engineer
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

This thread is worthless without pics links to the actual court orders.

It's horrifying, sure.  But is anyone really surprised?  This is a natural result of leftism/statism run amok.

This, in spades.

This sort of heinous drek is hte result of gov't nanny statism.  Evil, evil, evil is the harvest when socialist/leftist policy is sown.

Ok, we can totally ignore the 800 pound gorilla.  I don't mind.

Yeah, but that 800lb primate is slinging poo at a high rate.  Hard to ignore high-velocity poo.

Personally, I am of the opinion that most of this sort of mess would be attenuated if the welfare state had a machete taken to it.  It might still be wrong & evil if done by evil parents, but at least our gov't wouldn't be doing the evil as a matter of policy.

We have to remember it wasn't long ago that two PA judges got in trouble for putting kids in jail for money.

Could this be another corrupt judge?

I believe details are being withheld to protect the privacy of the child.  (Ironic that they'd protect her privacy but not her child.)

As far as child rights go, isn't this a prime example of a child's rights coming up short?  I can't imagine anything like this happening to an independent adult with full rights.

Again, assuming this is what the court orders said. IF it said "You don't want an abortion, but we'll make you have one anyway", then it's horrific and the judge should... be removed from office and go to prison for a long, long time. If the court said "Sure, your parent/guardian doesn't want you to have an abortion, but we think you should have one if you feel otherwise", that's a different can of.

As for the original issue of "We'll take your child if you don't abort it", I've always said they were.... overly keen on taking people's children.
