Title: Cabin Fever....
Post by: drewtam on December 01, 2006, 02:11:19 PM
This snow storm hit pretty hard down in Illinois. Missed work, and 12hrs later my street still isn't plowed. Its about 16" deep, there is no way my car get through it. Until the street get plowed, I'm stuck inside the house. I guess I could build a snowman.

Too cold.

When you do build one, put an arrow through him.

Or an axe in his head.

Make your neighbors think...

The funny thing is that here in Montana we are lamenting the LACK of snow. One ski resort is opening tomorrow with an 18" base and one run open.
BTW, Mt Baker in WA had 12 FEET of snow dump over 2 days.

drewtam, you IL folks got hit harder than we did in Milwaukee, but we still have a lot of snow on the ground.

Yesterday was a pain in the butt. I didn't make a dime, as I spent just about the entire day dealing with the snow: shovelling the sidewalks, shovelling out the cars, shovelling out the cars after the plow driver buried them, driving 10 mph to get cigarettes and groceries.

It's like living in Siberia, but without the portraits of Stalin anywhere. Your socialist governor and WI's at least have the sense not to plaster every wall with their ugly mugs.

I still can't get out of my driveway. 48hrs...

This is more snow than our city has seen in like 5-10yrs. I don't think they can deal with this much snow.

It didn't even get below freezing down here.  Smiley  I'm not even sure if it got into the 30's at all.   laugh
First time I had to wear a jacket this fall.

I've got a little cabin fever, too.
I took the cyclocross bike out three times this week, despite the snow and sub freezing temps.
