Is there any difference in ingredients between 'Murican kraut and genuine Cherman kraut?  'Murican kraut does really weird things to my digestive processes.  No problems with Cherman (eaten while in Chermany) kraut.
Some/most American kraut isn't naturally fermented, but has vinegar added to the cabbage.   [barf]

OK, OK....I just got back from the store.  Kielbasa, mashed taters and Bavarian sweet saurkraut.  Dinner tonight....or maybe lunch.

Sauerkraut is good, but kimchi is an essential foodstuff. Try it with any thing. I put in sandwiches; my wife and I both love it on macaroni and cheese.

For some reason I get the feeling that you have an objection to all other consumables tasting even faintly of kimchi.  Quite frankly I find the background taste quite enjoyable with my shredded wheat in the morning.  And it just gets better when I add the milk.  ;)

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

I'm calling BS....even the creators of kimchi don't do that....  :P

When I went to Aldi for eggs and milk, they had German Sauerkraut in glass jars....

I bought three....

And I don't think that's enough....

It was bad enough when a college roommate put some kilbasi in the dorm fridge.  I do like that kind of sausage, but it was annoying when a couple weeks after the last of it was eaten my Brita water filter still smelled like it.  After changing the filter.
