And yet one of the stars from Lost who is 51 married a 16 year old girl in Vegas just the other day.  Her parents signed off on the marriage.

I believe that is in part a publicity stunt, in order for people on a national scale to hear her name since she is getting ready to release her first country single.

There was a guy who lived around here who was kicked out of the army for having consensual sex with a girl who was lower rank than him.  Mind you, they were both ADULTS having a consensual relationship.  Because of some awkward NYS law regarding what is considered a sex offense, he was placed on the registry.  Something about committing any "crime" in any jurisdiction other than NYS (The US Army apparently considered his actions "criminal" against Army "law") that was sexual in nature.  There was a big hullabaloo and trial which ended up with the judge saying that as the law was written, he had to be placed on the registry.
