Sorry, Sindawe, I couldn't remember if you were or not.  I frequently get you confused with a particular Christian member.

Wife just informed me that she does not want to eat turducken. She's not a big fan of turkey and, while she likes chicken, she hates duck.

I don't blame her.  I like turkey, chicken, and properly prepared duck, but there's just something about eating a three bird combo that starts with "turd" that I can't get myself excited about.

It was quiet in my office as well until I read that.  Now the boss suspects I may not really be working...
Thanks for the LOL

c_yeager sent me a PM 2 or 3 weeks ago, saying we were both being jerks, but that he was man enough to recognize it and leave the forum, or something to that effect.

What?  You a jerk?  I can't imagine that.  You've only thrown one spit-ball at me, I won't consider you a jerk until you hit me with two or three more.  :)  Could it be that he had weak arguments and knew you'd beat in the debates?

Most people get put off by anyone with a strong personality and you sure seem to have one.

Oh, fistful's only one of the members here with a strong personality. There's a couple more, but I haven't seen them around lately.

Your strong personality chased them away, didn't it, fistful? Tongue (Just kidding, man, just kidding.  grin Wink)

I don't think c_yeager's a jerk, but then I don't think I'm a jerk, either.  Maybe I'm wrong on both counts.

Sindawe, Stand_waitie.  Both start with S's, end with "wee," and have an "nd" and a few more similar letters.  Not to mention the three syllables.  And perhaps most importantly, both names are utterly meaningless to me.

Stand Waitie always made me think he was in the military. You know hurry up then stand and wait. Just conjecture on my part...

Well, in case you want reassurance, I never thought that you or c_yeager was a jerk. You both had strong personalities that clashed, but you weren't jerks.

You keep telling me I have a strong personality.  Is that just another way of saying I'm ugly?

Actually, if people think I'm a jerk it probably has more to do with my very strong and set opinions, my near-obsessive tenacity in defending them long after others are bored with the topic, and my frustration with certain lines of argument that cause me to get a tad caustic (I'm workin' on it).  Then there's the whole issue of posting too often.  Then there's my sexism.  I'm starting too think your strong personality theory is much more flattering.

Isn't i? I'm going to stick with strong personality.  I don't know you well enough, yet, to wholeheartedly agree with the rest of your good qualities.  I'm sure that in a week or so, you'll show a flaw. :)

Woof, Woof.  That's my other dog impression.

Why not just judge people on first impression and personal prejudices?  Works for most people.   smiley

I was never a HUGE poster, anyway.  I read here a lot.

To be honest, I stopped posting at almost all of the forums I read.

The reason?  I'm not in a happy place in life, and realize that I am being a complete bitch.

I'm finding that lately I shoot my mouth off on some long tirade, get angry at myself, dwell on it for days that I came accross as a lunatic, then figure out if I need to ban myself or apologize.

It's easier to just keep my pie hole shut until I can behave.

How's that for honesty?

I just realized the irony going on here.  Two weeks ago I got multiple complaints that I was talking too much.  Now, someone's concerned that it's too quiet the past two weeks.  I wish some people would come back and fill in the bandwidth that I was filling all by myself.  Must I do EVERYTHING around here?   smiley

Who gets to smoke the pot? And I thought it was baked into brownies!
