Why not tax Hollywood ?? That's where the REAL money is

Presented for you consideration, in the spirit of current goings-on in regard to getting even with those who have "exploited" those less fortunate.....

Tax Hollywood...... Hard.

In 2005: Total revenue: $44.8 billion (only year I could find a total number for)

Imagine how many homeowners could be rescued from the mortgage crisis
Or how much health care could be doled out
Or infastructure improvements

Mr. President, what are we waiting for ??

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Hollywood to stop shilling, raising money, and voting en masse for representatives of the Democratic (sic) party.

Tax the elites?  Why would the elites want to do that?

I don't get it.  Is "Hollywood" currently exempt from taxation?  ???

Scout,

Please, before you post in Politics Place again, refamiliarize yourself with the guidelines on what constitutes a political post:

"Politics...

Things directly related to those who are pursuing elected offices, the actions of those in an elected office, or activities of those individuals that might impact on their duties or aspirations as elected officials.

Examples:

1. Hillary Clinton's statements while on the talk show circuit.

2. Larry Craig getting arrested for whatever he was arrested for.

3. Teddy Kennedy introducing legislation to tax the middle class at 90%

4. The House, or Senate, as a body, passing legislation to tax the middle class at 90%.

Examples of things that are NOT Politics Place fodder...

1. Hillary Clinton spilling a Starbucks half caf. mochiato with skim on herself before hitting the talk show circuit.

2. Larry Craig being seen entering a public restroom.

3. The Senate or House chamber getting new carpets."
