French peasants in the 1790's decided the "freedom" offered by the Revolution wasn't very freedomy and tell the Revolting crowd to stuff it.  The Revolting crowd decides they're wrong.  Wholesale slaughter ensues.

Agreed.  Thanks.  

Just shows that once men go down that sort of evil path, the results are not all that different.  With a few name and year changes, the same story would be believable for the Nazis.
