PICKENS, S.C. -- The Greenville County bomb squad was called to a Pickens County home on Wednesday night after a can filled with an unknown liquid was left on the homes porch.
Holly Springs Fire Department crews asked some neighbors to evacuate the area briefly while the bomb squad investigated.
The home is on Blue Yonder Drive, about 4 miles north of Pickens.
Deputies said the container appeared to be a beer can, but they decided to test the liquid inside as a precaution.
The bomb squad took the can for further testing.
No information is available about the contents of the can or if those contents posed any hazard.
-
So they found a beer can... and, uh, called the bomb squad... to make sure it was safe...?
-
That's about the extent of it, yeah. Your tax dollars at work.
-
I hope if they shot the can, they had the presence of mind to follow tradition and use a .22.
No information is available about the contents of the can or if those contents posed any hazard.
Only if it was Budweiser or something equally noxious.

Don't these morons watch Adult Swim or use the internet?
-
Hey, it's better than a flaming bag of poop,,, I wonder who you call for THAT.
-
Four miles north of Pickens, SC would make it a high probability can of beer.

GunnySkox, you suck rocks. Do you realize how hard it is to get diet cola off of drywall?
-
My favorite is Bob's expression in the very last panel, about the two-slit experiment.
Good luck with your drywall. A little bit of sanding goes a long way!

Hmmm...
... Pickens County... Blue Yonder Drive... Deputies said the container appeared to be a beer can, but they decided to test the liquid inside as a precaution.
This story has GOT to be a prank...
-
You know, I bet it was the man's own beer can. He got drunk last night, left it on the porch, and forgot about it.

Deputies said the container appeared to be a beer can, but they decided to test the liquid inside as a precaution.
How, by taking a swig?

I'm going to start reporting those mysterious cylinders that appear on my lawn every morning.
