Trump is like Pontius Pilate . . .
« on: February 18, 2018, 12:04:32 PM »
. . . according to Joe Scarborough of MSNBC.

Yep, that's right, Morning Joe said that when Christians are being killed, Trump is washing his hands of doing anything (i.e., outlawing guns) just like Pontius Pilate.

https://www.mediaite.com/online/joe-scarborough-trump-is-like-pontius-pilate-letting-christians-get-slaughtered/

Also, a Democrat senator made the same comparison (Trump is Pontius Pilate) in regard to immigration.

They're all on the same page, and I guess they went through history to try and find someone MORE reviled than Hitler to compare Trump to.

Next stage of Trump Derangement Syndrome: Trump is Genghis Khan, Robert "KKK" Byrd, or Ted "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Is this the same Joe Scarborough who voted to repeal the assault weapons ban when he was in Congress?

But he changed his views. He said so.

Same old story.  If President Trump is against anything or anybody, most of the media will be for the anything or anybody.

Whatever Trump does or says is wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

And vice versa on the for and against.

Is Pontius Pilate even really considered some evil person?

Pilate was an actual historical figure. You don't have to be a Christian to believe in actual history.  His infamy comes from the biblical stories.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

That’s kinda my point. His name Brantley comes from biblical stories... it wouldn’t be an insult without acknowledging the Bible

I think he's considered to have been a politician. Synonymous?

Scarborough's point was that Trump is allowing bad things to happen, and trying to avoid responsibility.

If I remember correctly, some denominations consider Pilate a saint, because he tried to spare Jesus. A lot of Christians consider him a craven coward, who bent to the political winds, and killed the only innocent man the world has ever known.
