The Los Angeles Country Democratic Party -- the biggest county party in the United States -- doesn't have a clue how much money it has in the bank and is hoping it will be able to make its payroll.
Hopefully they will be unable to recover in time for the elections.
I wonder if they'll learn that giving any outsider that kind of control over funds is a bad move. Probably a new regulation or 2000 will fix the problem.

Feinstein claims this treasurer (Durkee) has looted her (Feinstein's) campaign account. Durkee had authority over more than 400 bank accounts and has commingled clients' funds. Oh this is going to be interesting. [popcorn] [popcorn]

Oh indeed. (rubs hands gleefully) Kind of on the other foot when it's suddenly "their money" instead of all the waste and shell games they play with "our money".

The older she gets, the more I think Feinstein looks like the Cornflake S. Pecially puppet from Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood of Make Believe.

Awesome - I usually do not have the opportunity to actually observe the results of "what goes around comes around" or "you reap what you sow".
I may have to contribute to Durkee's defense fund, assuming that all of her assets are now offshore......

You shall do so at your own risk. I'd advise staying at a distance greater than arms length, and making sure you aren't covered in barbecue sauce, or any other condiments, just to be on the safe side. Also be certain any nearby sources of gamma radiation are contained, shielded, or shut down completely.

I wonder if thanks to the economy they won't be able to get enough individual donations to refill their accounts and that because of campaign finance laws they will not be able to grab the larger donations that could help with same.
If so this would be a most perfect example of being hoist on one's own petard.
