Title: North American Union....Is the USA lost?
Post by: illinoisdeerhunter on August 28, 2007, 12:44:31 PM
This should have made the front page of every news outlet in the nation bt, It didn't.
It appears the Us, Canada and Mexico have entered into a union similar to the European Union.

I don't know what difference it would make.  We have no borders and China owns most of our debt anyway.

"The Devil hath the power to assume a pleasing shape."

It must be nonsense, right?  They wouldn't be doing things behind our backs, now would they?

I'd say it must be wrong if Alex Jones is the least crazy resource you can site.

Uber lunatic fringe who runs Info Wars and makes videos with really low production values. 9/11 was committed by the fed.gov to bring on the police state kinda guy. Citing him is like a giant flashing neon sign saying "I'm not credible!"

I've sworn off these debates after the Night of the Long Knives at THR but let me just say, no, it wasn't.  What made California exemplary in my lifetime had nothing to do with Mexico or Mexicans.  Dream on.

Statement from Calderon, Bush and Harper

from page 12...
Quote
To better inform our citizens and civil society and receive input on our
collaborative efforts under the SPP framework, the governments of Mexico and
Canada hosted seminars with academics and specialists on the three countries
as part of an ongoing public policy consultation process regarding the future of
North America.

None of the other material in the "leader statement" document demonstrate that Bush feels it is a priority to inform the American citizenry on the SPP's goals.

So... the two socialist-leaning states involved here get to participate since their citizenry favors big government, but our citizenry doesn't?

Some people will go to great lengths to lend credence to outlandish conspiracy theories.

I'd always thought that California was rather much a sleepy place with some missions up until some people found some stuff in a stream near Sutter's Mill, and all the Americans and Europeans started descending upon the state to mine, to sell stuff to miners, and to build the infrastructure for miners?

And by 1870, it was the tenth largest city in the nation, with bankers, merchants, and entertainment venues, hotels, restaurants, parks, churches, synagogues, schools, libraries...all from the east coast...not from Mexico. 1873, cable car system. Mexico City, in all that time, as California's cities were being built, was still mostly squalor and desperate poverty.

The rise of Silicon Valley in the 70's and 80's didn't seem to have anything to do with Mexico, either.

Honestly, now, watching Blade Runner, the world there looks optimistic. LA with illicit street biotechnology vendors and other high-tech things? Now, it's more likely to become a dysfunctional, dirty New Tijuana instead.

So things haven't changed much

What is "the Night of the Long Knives" at THR? Did pro-amnesty posters get massively banned or something?

CAnnoneer:

One day Oleg & Co. up & made THR's L&P forum in to "Legal" only and gave several posters the boot*.  They had their reasons for the re-make.

I am not sure (besides being considered undesirable by Oleg at THR) what is the tie that binds the banned folk.

There are several, "Why did I get banned at THR" threads from that time frame.  Be sure to bring cheese.  It ought to complement many of the posts.

* Much more to it than that, but I am too tired to go into details.

CAnnoneer, you need to ask the more interesting question.  To wit; if those banned from THR are victims of The Long Knives, does that make them Brownshirts?   smiley

Or does it make them British chieftains?   undecided

As someone battling the yoke of the E.U. , please do not let them do this , tripartite meetings have already taken place in Canada . The only people who want this Union are the "elite" , just like here in the U.K. , you fought one lot oppressors in 1776 now it is time to defend your liberty again , this time against the North American governments .
It is only now that the people of Europe are waking up to what the E.U. really is , and are starting to fight back ,  God bless the U.S.A.

Blessings to the Limeys. They are much closer to America culturally than the rest of Europe.
