In my reading of various news websites, this is becoming more common.   Poor editing, even no editing.  It is very annoying at times.
Our local KATU Channel 2 website is particularly bad.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Years ago when I worked for the newspaper I was going over the "first run" doing a last minute check when I found that our managing editor headlined an article about Iraq with Iran...

We had to recomposit the front page.

I'm reading "The Gun Digest Book of the 1911, Volume 2."  It is filled with typos and misspellings.  It looks to me like it wasn't proof-read at all.  They may have run a spell check, but that's it.

The author of a poorly edited and proof-read book loses credibility with me.

Agreed.
Sometimes I'll postpone a simple forum post ten minutes looking for one word to make sure all's right.

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

I think a lot of the problem is that everyone is in a rush to get the news up first. Makes for shoddy reporting.
