Damn.

The American woman wasn't even listed as being a hostage. No one had reported her as missing for some reason.

RIP Cédric de Pierrepont and Alain Bertoncello.

Say what you will about the French, but due to their colonial past in the area, they do have expertise in operating in Africa.

I've never had a negative opinion about the French troops. The few I've met were damn fine folks and very professional, their political "leadership" on the other hand...

Glad to hear they dealt with the situation.  Sad to hear two soldiers were killed.  Not much of a comment, but I can't think of anything good to say.
