I noticed I'm not the only one who consistently hits the ; key when the ' key is meant.
Apart from rigorous self-discipline and tortuous backspacing and correcting, is there any permanent fix for this? Is it just a question of "big hands," or keyboard size or something, or what? I consider myself a pretty good typist, but somehow that pinky just seems to want to hit ; instead of '.
Never used to happen, so it's a relatively new thing.
Yes, I trim my nails.
And yes, I had to go back and correct it;s to it's in that sentence.
I usually compose in Notepad, and if it's a long document I'll go through the search and replace dealie to automatically sub the ' for the ; since I almost never actually use semicolons.
Damn. Had to change I;ll to I'll. I guess I never autocorrected it before in my dictionary.
Just pissin' and moanin' and looking for some hand-holding, I guess.

Yeah, I know.... "There, there.... would you like a hot beverage?"
