I saw a poll this morning that shows O'Rourke beating Cruz, 53-47. The rest show the numbers flipped the other way.

So if Beto manages to win, who is the establishment going to blame?

The Republican establishment will blame Cruz for losing. This despite their typical lackluster election season leadership designed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

There have been polls claiming that all year.  I have heard polls have shifted toward Cruz the last couple weeks.  He was already leading before that.  

But if you want to have a thread about bashing establishment R's, I will leave you to it.  I don't care for them either.  I just like Democrats even less.

Hopefully this whole Kavanaugh fiasco will redpill some of the establishment types.

The establishment Republicans always had a “home” even when Democrats were in power.

With the new and improved intersectional, woke, non-white Democrats taking over the party there will not be a seat at the table let alone a home for any Republicans. Straight white Democrat males will increasingly struggle to even have a voice in their own party.

When the exodus of straight white non-marxist politicians and voters occurs from the Democrat party, hopefully the Republicans will be smart enough to not give them any say or power over policy.

I figure some of the anti-Trump R's will get the hint that the Democrats are the real opposition, not Trump.  I don't hold out hope that they will change their spots much, but at least they might not work with Dems against Trump.  I think some of them realize that Trump could do a campaign rally for one of their primary challengers and they would be in trouble.

That will be interesting to track post Kavanaugh. I'll have to do some perusing and see what Bill Kristol is saying nowadays. He was a somewhat reasonable establishment R voice just a few years ago, but his train derailed when Trump got elected.

I don't know much about how Texas is, just thought that any incumbent GOP was pretty safe to win by double digits.
