Need source for good Non Disclosure Agreement

(1/2) > >>

Justin:
Does anyone have a good source for an NDA?

Or have any on file, or any experience writing them, or that sort of thing?

esheato:
Wikipedia had a couple samples...SF-312 is the form for a classified NDA.

Dave Markowitz:
Assuming this is for an employment situation, talk to an employment lawyer.  Pay now or pay later.  DIY is good for some things, but not for others.  Employment law situations are in the latter category.

Justin:
Dave, this would actually be for a product idea.  We've got the idea, but need to talk to a large company with the technology skillz  (that's with a z) to be able to find out how feasible the concept is and to find out about going into production.

Dave Markowitz:
Justin, in that case talk to a intellectual property lawyer.  An IP attorney should be able to draw up an NDA that clearly specifies what use the other party may or may not make of the disclosed information, or reveal to a third party.

Although I do not currently practice law, when I did I cleaned up a few messes resulting from people who thought they didn't need one at first.
