This is a place where domestically owned drones could be of value.

In addition to their use in spotting trespoachers, they can be used to gather license plate info, lead a WL cop to the area and with a sufficient noisemaker onboard be used to scare the trespoacher's game away.

Something like this perhaps?

If you are a hunter scaring the game away from the poacher could also ruin your season.

True. In that case other options would have to be pursued. But if not, why not?

I vote for landmines. Place a couple at the base of each tree the trespasser puts a stand.
That is all. *expletive deleted*ck you all, eat *expletive deleted*it, and die in a fire. I have considered writing here a long parting section dedicated to each poster, but I have decided, at length, against it. *expletive deleted*ck you all and Hail Satan.

An overdue update:
The conservation police are stretched pretty thin and I decided not to trouble them with my piddly issue. And I don't want to rile things up with the young man's family, who I believe are decent folk but not hunters as far as I know. I went out early last Saturday with my bow and sat in his stand in my timber thinking maybe he would show up and I could chew on his ear some and send him packing.
He didn't show up but a nice big doe did. I shot her and packed his stand out with the deer. His stand and stick ladder are in my barn. If he comes around asking about it, we will have a talk. Or I will talk and he can listen. If not, then I guess I got me another tree stand.
I also tacked a no trespassing sign to the tree the stand was in so either way he gets the message.
I wonder if he's used up all that scent spray stuff yet?

I would say that at some point the ute needs to be confronted, so that you know that lesson has been learned and give him a chance to get his property back.  Two wrongs do not make a right, but three lefts do.  ;)
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
