I'm going to stick with John Ringo theory.  Paddock had recently been prescribed an anti-depressant (Cymbalta or the like, IIRC), and like the story John Ringo tells of his girlfriend (and what I saw with my mother when she was taking it), there is a severe personality change...toward darkness.  In John Ringo's girlfriend's case, it was to start serial killing child molesters (which, I could get behind...), in my mother's case it turned a very sweet, caring nurse and mother into a extremely mean person with a rapier tongue and *expletive deleted*ck your feelings.

So I can see how a guy who was pretty much a Walter Mitty type becoming well planned out mass murderer.

With my not having looked into this at all I tend to believe I don’t even know enough to hazard a guess about what that was all about.

The bits and pieces I’ve run across online all indicate something less than transparency is being practiced by the authorities.

The whole thing stinks like a rotting fish and we will probably never be filled in on what really happened, other than the obvious death and destruction.
