But it was very cool anyway!

Couple weeks ago, I got a call from a friend of mine who serves on the NRA's women's programs committee (or something like that..forget the name) and she told me I'd been nominated by several people for this:

She also told me I lost to people who were older (shocked Smiley ) and I guess because I'm not very actively involved in NRA programs themselves.

But still..very cool to even be nominated and to have enough people who love me that the committee was surprised by so many nominations. I have really good friends. Smiley

Heh..thanks. It was kind of a big thing for me, mostly becuase it was a big conspiricy amongst some people that I wasn't supposed to know about (but someone accidently included me on an email about it, heh.)

I think complaints can be lodged at the same address.

Believe it or not, I don't spend all my waking hours on gun boards defending women. So this was nice for me and it meant a lot because of the people who did nominate me. Plus it was so darned cool the way they (tried) to do it.

Barbara,
There is a BIG difference in not being selected for an award - and being a loser.
You are not a loser!

Look at it this way, you still beat everyone but those three or so others.  Maybe even beat all but one of them.

I think I phrased the title wrong. I'm really happy about being nominated but I guess it didn't sound that way. Smiley

The people who got the award were:

Robin Ball, Spokane, Washington
Roxanne Byczkowski, New Windsor, Maryland
Suzi Rouse, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Alice Trip, Paige, Texas.

They all sound great.

Well, we all know that you're great! Cheesy

I'm glad to see that at least one blue-state inmate got it. They have the toughest job.
