Rugers
« on: November 22, 2018, 09:29:09 AM »
I picked up an LCP II on impulse yesterday.  I ... I may have a Ruger problem.

22/45 MkII, GP100, SP101, SR9c, LC9s Pro, LCP II.

I really like my GP 100.

When I first bought it I polished all the non sear friction surfaces in the trigger/hammer components. I also did a lot of dry firing.

The trigger is pretty frickin smooth now for a Roger.

I don't call that a problem.

(I do have more Rugers than any other single brand.  But, they don't get out to play much.)

You need a Super Redhawk to complete the set of DA revolvers.

The grip on that SP101 looks extremely uncomfortable.

It's actually much better than it looks. I prefer it over the Pachmayr My dad's has.

A .357 Blackhawk or Vaquero is on my “eventually” list.

Being a 3” makes the stock grip look smaller.

The GP100 was bought used. Whoever had it before me took care of all that for me.  =D

I was looking at the shape. It looks like they ran out of gun stocks so they just grabbed a stair baluster and stuck that on a handgun.

I'm going to probably sell my Super Blackhawk, but keep the .45LC Vaquero. I really like the Vaquero. I used to have an old model Blackhawk, .45LC/.45ACP. I'm really sorry I sold that one.

You know they make long guns too?  You can't call it a problem until you have at least a 10-22.

"A" 10/22?  I have 3.  :P  And a Mini 14.  If I didn't already have 3 9mm carbines I'd be looking harder at the PC Carbine.   That said, the Hi Point and the Kel Tec Sub2K may go away sometime and be replaced by the PC, taking me down to 2 9mm carbines.  The Beretta CX4 stays

OK, I still don't call that a problem, but there may be some unenlightened individuals who might.

My choice would be the Blackhawk or an older Vaquero from before they got CAS-ified.
A .357 Blackhawk is on my "Buy on sight" list* along with a S&W 586 with a 6" barrel.
Since I haven't spent much time in the last few years perusing gun stores I've been safe.

I have a Ruger Security Six in .357, an LCP and just the other day I picked up a EC9S.  I can stop any time I want...really, I can.

You don't have a 10/22 problem until you have at least one that no longer has any Ruger parts on it.  Again, it isn't really a problem.

I would like the shoot the PC carbine, but I am not sure I want one.  I have an AR style 9mm carbine and a Sub2000.  If I get another one, I am eyeing the CZ Evo pistol.  We will see.
