Says Obama was elected by an illiterate society, American schools were conquered by Communists long ago, and a number of other things that ring true. (There's the obligatory praise for Putin, but it's Pravda, after all. ;) )

Ironically, I've been finding of late that the Russian news services have more informative and unbiased articles on US politics than our own news agencies.

The linked article sounds almost like it was written by a John Bircher member.
O'bomber even keeps the war going along the Mexican border with projects like "fast and furious" and there is still no sign of ending it. He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia. Obama's fools and Stalin's fools share the same drink of illusion.
WOW! :O

Or perhaps a Russian Orthodox Christian?

Also true with The Onion.

Add Al Jazeera. Usually more balanced than CNN.

Our media, by and large, refuse to connect economics with morality. This is right out of the Marxist playbook.
Even Mitt Romney, who of all people should have known better, found himself entombed in an echoing box called "Jobs."

Isn't it funny how the media made no mention of this "fiscal cliff" before the election ;/

Even then, they are only talking about relatively minor concerns about bridging short term deficits, when the real 'fiscal cliff' is something a lot more important, a lot scarier, and isn't going to be reported.

The fiscal cliff is not ahead of us, it is behind us. We are already as good as broke. It's not a matter of going over the falls, it's a matter of building a raft and saving what we can.

It's not the fall that hurts - it's the sudden stop at the bottom ;)

Metaphors are fun, now help me with this damn raft. :)

I am not sure what that raft ought to be.
I never thought I would see the day when Pravda would be more truthful, honest, and accurate than US media. The latter are completely taken over by little Goebbels's, goebbelslings if you will. There is so much misinformation and people have become so dumb and gullible, that perhaps the shock of reality in the form of a double-dip depression, debt crisis, and hyperinflation is the only thing that may wake them up. But, in reality, even that will just get spun as somebody else's fault, just like FDR's effect on the 1930s economy is still under debate. The left will not stop until capitalism and the free society are destroyed and replaced with a socialist nanny state dictatorship. Remember that the commie countries also had regular elections that did not mean anything. We are moving in that direction.
So, what about that raft? What is the solution for the private citizen?

Raft made of gold, silver, and lead?

When you are playing poker with a bunch of crooks you might want to get up and leave the game.

Metaphors are fun. Now, what do you mean literally? Leave the country? Live off the grid?

Raft made of gold, silver, and lead?
Except the gov will likely FDR the gold and ban the lead. Silver might work, but the adverse societal effects go far beyond inflation.
