I hope they sue the *expletive deleted* out of those scumbags. Sounds like unlawful detention to me, but then, the government can pretty much get away with a lot of stuff we'd go to jail for.
I gotta wonder how close we are to a park ranger needing to shoot some illegal recreater in one of the closed national King's Parks.
Why don't they just use the local sheriffs to lock up the park service guys on false arrest or whatever charges? After all they are still in a given state and thats states laws apply.
"Officer, unless you are going to shoot me and a bunch of elderly tourists, on camera, for taking pictures go ahead and FOAD. We'll be back on the road in a minute."Then film her reaction.
Several of those detained were from Japan & other nations. There may be some international blowback as well...
Would have to be a feisty American in the group the Asians? Never. The Europeans doubtful.
Like the Asian who ran over a bunch of thugs on bikes? Most Asians are very polite and considerate people. I also think their sense of family trumps their sense of PC behavior, and that if and when they perceive a real threat they are not going to hesitate. Remember the Koreans in LA a few years back?
Were the Chinese conducting a final inspection of their latest property acquisition?
