MSN passport and other login troubles

I can't login to read my email (@msn.com), nor can I login to any other MSN passport sites, and a few other non-passport sites. This is with my virus software on and off. I can login on other computers, what could the problem be?

Forgot to add, the error message I get when I try to login to hotmail is:

ALERT

The connection was refused when attempting to contact msnialogin.passport.com

Are you trying to do this from you work computer???  If so, your company may have configured a port on the firewall to disallow connections to your mailbox.  We had to do something similar a while back because of all the viruses we were getting from Hotmail/Yahoo type accounts.  We have let up on that some now that most good online mail providers have a pretty good AV program running.

try deleting all your cookies and logging into passport again manually.
