Title: Microphone recording software
Post by: 45r on March 14, 2005, 06:46:35 PM
What freeware can I use to turn class notes from an audio cassette into an MP3 that I can listen to in on my PC or in my car?
I have all the cables that let the record hook into the PC.

Thanks!

Musicmatch jukebox (free version) will record from line in , mic in , takes a little fumbling around the menus and settings to get the mp3 settings right. Voice can use a really low bitrate and still sound ok dependind on how much recording you need to convert, you could get several hours on a cd easily.
