I'd rate the show better than longmire.
And Longmire was pretty darn good, so that should tell you something.
My Dad turned me on to the Bosch book series many years ago. Every one that I've read has been enjoyable, hard to put down.
Michael Connelly once said in an interview that he envisioned the Bosch of his books as being quite different in looks and mannerisms than the way Titus Welliver plays him. But now when thinks of Bosch, he sees the Titus Welliver character. His perspective changed and he was quite happy about it.
I haven't read any of his recent Bosch books since the Amazon series started, so I don't know if there has been any impact on the way he writes the character.
