And she is going to sign it into law.  While not perfect, got to already have permit to carry to open carry, it will prevent those who are concealed and wind up showing from breaking the law.

Law will go into effect Nov 1.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

It's a small step in the right direction.
We didn't lose our 2A rights in one fell swoop, unfortunately we can't get them back that way either

Gov signed the bill into law.

Goes into effect Nov. 1st ( that's the way new laws work in Oklahoma).

It's a shame you need a bill passed to exercise a Constitutional right but, at least it's a step in the right direction.
Personally, I do not understand how a bunch of people demanding a bigger govt can call themselves anarchist.

Even though I tend toward concealment, I sold all my really concealable guns quite awhile ago & all I have left is a Glock 22, not exactly the best for concealed carry.
I conceal it as best I can, really easy in winter but 80 degrees and over? not so much.
So I'm glad I do not get in trouble for people seeing it.
A case in Cali I read about on calguns really reinforced this, even though accidental printing is OK if you have a Cali ccw, it didn't prevent people from freaking out & calling the PD, who also freaked out and arrested the guy.

Better than what Texas has....if our Texas State Rifle Association wasn't run by the CHL-instructor mafia, we'd have constitutional carry by now....

In related news, I just got perma-banned from the TexasCHL Forum for questioning the wisdom of the CHL-instructor mafia....

Apparently, Mr. Cotton forgot two things about his forum....

1.  One can stay logged in even when one is away from his computer.

2.  I have a life that involves more than bickering with him....esp. if he won't address the questions posed to him.
