Who are those darn "Elites"
« on: September 09, 2016, 05:46:42 PM »
Victor Davis Hanson nails.  And the thing is.  He points to past examples the current "elites" are missing.  Much to the their and our peril.

Quote
Western elites have become today’s versions of the ossified Vatican of the fifteenth century, the cocooned court of Versailles in the age of Louis XVI during the last throes of the ancien régime, and the bloated Soviet apparatchiks on the dais during May Day parades in Moscow.

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

No, Mr. Hanson. That is not the sort of privilege you are supposed to complain about.
