Facebook Fake News Fact Checkers

Facebook is using the AP and Snopes as its official fact checkers.

Snopes was a goto for me ten years ago. Not so much anymore.

I bet snopes thinks an AR15 is an assault rifle.

Some of Snopes' articles drip with political bias.  Others are merely damp with it.

Not necessarily. My FA NFA registered AR says Colt AR15 on the receiver. I'm not sure I would ever call it an Assault Rifle; but it is functionally identical to an M16.

Those are military designations of types of rifles.  The Army could have called them AR125-B2.
