Libertarian convention speech ends in strip tease
« on: May 30, 2016, 06:47:24 PM »
James Weeks, a candidate for Libertarian Party chairman, took the stage on Sunday afternoon and told the audience, "We could all use a little bit of fun."

He then turned on music and began to undress before a very confused crowd.

Weeks danced for a couple of minutes while some onlookers laughed, many shook their heads in embarrassment, and others took photos.

"Sorry, that was a dare," Weeks said, before shuffling off stage in his underwear. "I'm gonna go ahead and drop out."

He did not win.

With polls showing many voters displeased with likely major party nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Libertarians hope the party will be seen as a more credible alternative this year than it has in the past.

Some expressed concern that the stripping probably did not help.

No, probably not:

Are you sure you're talking about Hillary Clinton -- the one who's running for President?

It's possible.  50 years is a long time.

True.  Given the amount of ugly involved this time, I am expecting a whole LOT of freedom.  Blubberous, overhanging, man-booby, wildly hairy freedom.

You just had to go there, didn't you??  (now where did I put that mind bleach?)

Hey, when it comes to political ugliness, Hillary is the trump card.

And Libertarian Party members wonder why their candidates are generally ignored by voters.

The upside is, if enough people get wind of this, the LP will be sucking fewer votes away from Trump in the general election.

The striptease is no big issue to me as this whole run up to the election has been somewhat of a circus.

The fact that the Libertarians want to let the third world invade the USA and also import foreign skilled labor from every socialist welfare state on the planet is a cause for concern.

There won't be any assimilation to the USA because the USA is ceasing to exist as anything other than a plantation run by global elites.

Libertarians in their ideological purity would destroy our nation by putting the final nail in the coffin of our "common culture" through unfettered and unregulated immigration.

Every immigrant group we have votes left in overwhelming numbers. Increasing their numbers is national suicide.

There is no such thing as a propositional nation. Nations have borders and a common culture. Eliminate the borders, dilute and balkanize the culture and the nation will cease to be.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

This should've been placed in another location or at least a warning to us that it may not be safe for anywhere.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Bacon is the candy bar of meats!

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

My apologies.  My take was that an image of a chubby guy in inappropriate clothing that nevertheless conceals the naughty bits was more comic than titillating.

I edited it to make it a linky.  But if you click the linky THE IMAGE IS EVEN LARGER.

Methinks there was a bit of tongue-in-cheek involved in his post....
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Anyone catch the debate leading to Johnson getting the nomination? I especially enjoyed the part where the crowd boo'ed the idea that selling heroin to a five year old should be illegal. Great job guys, I'm sure you'll be really successful this time around.
