Title: Siegfried is dead
Post by: MillCreek on January 14, 2021, 10:44:22 AM

Siegfried and Roy is no more. Roy died last year and Siegfried died yesterday.  We saw their act in Las Vegas several years ago.

I was surprised to learn that S & R's show was a big attraction, involving over 200 stage-people. I thought it was like a half hour schtick, then on to the dancing girls.  No, I don't get out much. RIP.

I thought the same thing when I saw the thread title.

Bernie Kopell as KAOS' Siegfried is kind of an amazing character actor.  You would not realize was him in so many of his parts, then it dawns on you.

The Vegas Mega casinos have high quality full length productions for their primary show attractions. Didn’t see Siegfried and Roy but I did see Phantom of the Opera at the Venietian and a Cirque du Soleil at the Mandalay Bay (IIRC). Both were amazing productions.

I 1st saw Siegfried and Roy at the Frontier in Las Vegas. At that time they would bring a Tiger down the aisles in the show Room if you were close enough you could reach out and touch them. I wonder if one of the beasts ever nipped a patron.

RIP, iconic tiger magician guy I don't really know anything about.

I DO however,  have  a made to order funeral march.  Fits his name and everything.
