YUK!

Not often it hits the century mark here in DC. Normally we just flirt with it.

11 a.m. and it's already 90 deg. F.

That's a real surprise. You're in Texas.

I'm in Virgina, for god's sake.

For you guys it's newsworthy when the temperature DROPS below 85! Smiley

We've been at 100+ for the last few days but, fortunately, humidity at less than 15% helps make it tolerable.

OK, that's starting to get pretty ugly.

Where are you located?

As for the 100+ with very low humidity, that's when you start using a swamp cooler to add humidity to the air so you don't dehydrate so quickly.

Supposed to get to 105 today, but I doubt it will, as I was just outside and did not immediately burst into flames.

Still not as bad as Little Rock, Arkansas, or Ft Benning, Georgia, heat & humidity.

I just got back from SW Va.  It was 75 when I left at 9:30am and 100 when I got to NoVa (near DC).

I'd go for a ride, but I have too much to do.

The saving grace so far is that the humidity level is still below 50%.

My afterwork forcast.

The combination of temperatures of 95 to 100 and dew point temperatures in the mid 70s will produce a dangerous situation this afternoon. Heat indices will hold in the 110 to 115 degree range through the afternoon. A cold front will bring improving conditions this evening and overnight with cooler and drier air moving into the area.

gotta love the midwest....  now where is my sun tea...

102.6 * F, with the heat index 105.7

3:55 pm CST where I am typing from.

Been like this for a bit, will start getting hotter tommorrow so the radio just shared.

Month of August is when we see some heat and indices to complain about.

The humidity is going down, so it's actually OK in the shade right now. It's hot, but it's not that nasty hot, wet blanket oppressive that makes this area so unbearable.

Here in north Alabama it supposed to hit right at 100.  Thats with 65%+ humidity.  It's like walking in a sauna all day.

Hot here too. Got up to almost 85 degrees today. We should see some relief tonight when the temp drops into the high 40's.  Tongue

97 here right now, with 22% humidity, it was supposed to hit 100 today.

Nice thing about the high plains though, it will drop down to 58-60 degrees by morning.

I'm in Dallas right now and the thermometer showed 104 today.  My wife is still in Denver area right now and the thermometer showed 111 yesterday at the house.

We need rain in both places.

Last time I checked it was 120 in my car, my AC is broken, and I have to go spend about 30 minutes in it shortly.  The 104 degree air outside will actually feel good.

Ugh...108 today. 108 tomorrow.

Hell, it's 9pm and it's barely under 100 degrees. To get technical, it's 99.

What a way to start the week.

Feels like a cool front in Dallas- 22:30hrs and it's down to 96. 9 days at 100 or better. Seems like old times- 1980 to be exact.

No letup as far out as this coming Saturday. No rain in the forecast ever again. Humidity is only 29% today, per the reports.

Interestingly enough, I am going to re-read my electric meter. My bill went from $140. 2 months ago to $600+ last week. I think somebody needs glasses. I don't keep it nearly that cool in here.

Crybabies!

My younger son is in Fallujah, Iraq. It's HOT over there, even without all the gear they have to wear.

We were s'posed to hit 100 on Sunday but it barely got over 90. We generally have an average of 15 days when it hits the 90 degree mark. Minnesota is cold, doncha know...
