How do I keep my dog from eating cat poop?
The same way you get ANY animal to stop eating...and pooping.

...and walking, and sniffing, and seeing...

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

Main reason I cringe when I see someone allowing their dog to lick their face or give them a little kissy-pooh. Kissy-pooh indeed.

1216 feet!  On my third try!   smiley

Then 1237 a little later.  OK, time for bed.

I had a dog that ate cat poop.  Had to put the litter box up high.  Cat *expletive deleted*it on the carpet.  I wanted to kill them both, wife said I'd better make it a double-murder+suicide.....

My current mutt eats crayons.  And kids toys.  And stuffed animals.  When I poper-scooper the back yard, sometimes the crap looks like a rainbow.  Thank god she's not found the playdoh.

A neighbor's dog was like that when I was a kid.  It roamed the neighborhood and would eat anything.  It even ate one of my favorite toy guns.  sad

Consider it a second harvest. Same thing as running pigs in a cattle feedlot.

My vet sells something called 'corpro-aid'. I used to buy it when I had Spitzes who were into 'recycling'. The story I got was that it gives it a hideously bitter taste that they don't want to try again, much like my ex's home cooking. Comes in a little packet about the size of a teabag- off-white powder you sprinkle on the food. Tastes fine the first time, he said. Doesn't taste good the second. Enzymatic action or something.

You could also teach the cat to use the toilet. Seriously.

Could be, but the $64,000 question is did you follow him around for three days?

Eh, the problem with that (at least in my eyes) is that is makes it rather difficult to monitor the cats health via its litterbox habits.  Volume and frequency of urination can be an issue, specially with cats one has spend in excess of $5,000 to fix.

And sadly, it does nothing to address to the aggravation that arises when the cat decides to wipe his/her posterior on the carpet, thereby smearing the cat poop across the carpet and  grinding it INTO the cats fur, as both Uther & Morgana did last night.   &#@!$ grass eating cats....

If he had eaten my Maui Wowie, which I didn't know much about at age 6 or 7, I might have.

He was actually a fat Basset Hound.  Picture "Flash" from Dukes of Hazzard.
