Hmmmmm.  I get a message that IE has found the web site and is waiting to connect.  Then up pops the Unable To Locate Website message.   ???

It's back online here.

FWIW, since the ballyhoo, I am careful to visit .us at least once for each .org visit.
I am also careful to reserve judgment, but will support Oleg's new site as appropriate.

There was a particular thread I was watching at .org in which I asked for a PM.

based on volume of messages on both sites, it appears you are in the minority.

It must have been just me...I fiddled around, unplugged this, turned off that, etc etc and I just connected ok a little while ago.  Go figger.

Next time it happens, you might want to clear your browser history and restart the browser. That generally fixes problems like that for me.

.

Who's your ISP?

I was having issues the same "unable to connect" on a couple different addresses with Charter (from Grand Haven).  Everything worked fine at the office (different ISP).
About 2pm today it all cleared up.

Yeah, I did all of those things, cleared history, temp files, unplugged the modem etc.  I was going to de install my AVG security on the offhand chance it was blocking it.   Then the whole internet got blocked for awhile this afternoon so I shut the dang machine down in a fit of pique and took a nap.  When I turned it back on later, it worked.  I love machines that heal themselves.

I've got Charter too.  I live about 50 miles NE of Grand Haven, and I wouldn't doubt that my Charter is routed out of there or Muskegon.  I'm betting it was Charter even though everything else was working.

Thanks for the tips, etc.
