Somebody started video recording on their cell phone while the shooter was taking people out at that nightclub in California:

If I were in a place like that (which itself is about a zero percent probability factor), I think the LAST thing I'd be thinking about would be taking a video.

A sane, rational person would un-ass the AO during a shooting, not try to get video to upload to Insta-Tube-Book.

Shooting aside, I get the impression that a lot of folks today pretty much video every moment of their existence in the hope that some few seconds of it will be important enough for national news.  Pretty sad that their lives are lived inside a 3 by 5 inch screen.
