This time the scientific types say the quakes are related to adjustments occuring in existing faults, not the movement of magma or other volcanic activity.
The story is here.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

Well, that is good, considering a volcanic eruption there would be... umm... bad. [popcorn]

That seems like a lot of quake activity for it to just be a fault moving around a bit.  But I am neither a seismologist or a geophysicist, nor do I play either one on TV.  Hell, I haven't even stayed in a Holiday Inn Express recently.

As someone living about 80 miles north of the caldera, I'm not worried...

Yeah, you'd be one of the first to know.   :O
Personally, I do not understand how a bunch of people demanding a bigger govt can call themselves anarchist.

I got the (soon to be ex-) owners of this house to knock some money off for proximity to Yellowstone, actually.

Wonder if that would work here in MI? Ya know, when it comes to calderas, 10 miles or a 1,000 doesn't make a lot of difference.
I guess it would depend on my sales ;) abilities.

Yeah, it would be pretty bad for anyone in the US if that thing popped. I think I agree that being taken out quickly might not be such a bad thing.  =D

The movie was 'meh' overall, but did anyone else see the CGI Yellowstone eruption in '2012'?

Yeah, but I learned all you have to do is run away from it.  Easy!

Sweet! Where can I get a pair of shoes that can hold up to running the 200-300 mph needed to get away from the initial pyroclastic flow?

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.
