Physics Professor's Resignation Letter - AGW
« on: October 12, 2010, 09:51:09 PM »
Resigning from the American Physical Society. He's an Emeritus Professor at my Alma Mater. I was actually quite surprised, given the strong political leanings of the university (you can guess which direction). This is no crackpot. He has always been an extremely well respected professor, and you can see highlights of his achievements at the bottom of the article.

Read some of the comments.  There has been considerable kool-aide consumption.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

I absolutely agree....esp. with this part...

Quote from: Dr. Harold Lewis
This scheming at APS HQ is so bizarre that there cannot be a simple explanation for it.

....and I hold fistful responsible......
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

Looks like she's arguing with teleprompter ghosts . . .
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

She's telling them she knows some pipe-fitting &*%%@#$ in Chicago with blow torches and vise grips that'll go medieval on 'em if they fail her man in the middle of a speech.
