Malcolm Reynolds appears on Castle Monday Oct 26

Sort of.  He's dressed like Reynolds.

The first time the preview plays, you have to look fast to catch the brown coat.  Let it play through a second time, and he looks more like Reynolds than Castle as the preview clips are different.

It's fairly good, getting better.  Best part is Fillion's acting, which makes it watchable beyond the somewhat lame premise.

Castle is not as good as Dollhouse, which may be the best show since Firefly, although I would also have to consider Rome, Deadwood, Galactica, and The Unit.  

I'd trade them all for another season of Firefly.  

Comparing other shows to Firefly is like asking who's the second best rock band in the 1970s:  I dunno who was second best, but whoever it was, they were a long ways behind Led Zeppelin.

The point isn’t the preview, the point is just a heads-up for the Firefly fans here who might find it fun to see a bit of Firefly again.

Some of the guys from Firefly played voice actors in the game Halo 3 ODST.

Mrs. Dual is a HUGE Castle fan, and she loves Adam Baldwin in Chuck too.

I'm trying to get her to Netflix Firefly so we can watch it together, but she refuses, because she "hates sci-fi" no matter what.  :|

Oh and um... The actress that plays Castle's daughter. I'm looking forward to her growing up, so I uh.. can stop NOT thinking the things I want to think but won't let myself think because she's only sixteen. Partly it's just the "redhead thing"... but damn...

I am having a hard time freezing it at the right moment, but some youtube commentators are claiming that the catalyzer from "Out of Gas" is sitting on Castle's bookshelf when he bursts through the door.

I would think at some point Fox management would see just how much of a fanbase Firefly created.
And seriously consider bringing it back even if it's just for a 2nd season.

Of course Serenity killed some of the underlining storyline.
However there is no reason they couldn't bring it back post Serenity and continue on from there.

If Castle is picked up for a 3rd season then it has to be obvious that Fillion is desired by audiences.

I bet Whedon would jump all over the opportunity to revive Firefly. JMHO

Serenity may have killed some storyline (and characters), but there's no reason they can't create story between the first season and Serenity.

Also, the newly "fixed" River would make for interesting stories post-Serenity.
