My great aunt contracted Valley Fever when she was being treated for cancer in the 1980s. She died, but not sure if it was the Valley Fever, the cancer, or something else.

Did this one accidentally start in China?

Some ancient god hates too many people living in the SW.

Water scarcity might force them to move out first.

Some people believe that the widespread construction of thousands of acres of solar farm breaching the desert crust is at least partially responsible for the uptick in Valley fever.

Just one of the many being built.

https://ktvz.com/cnn-regional/2022/01/12/500000-solar-panels-installed-near-boulder-city/

During construction they had no idea how to control the dust or just didn't care.

This one is going in close to me and has had dust coming off that has obscured the highway near by at times due to blowing dust.

A map of the best areas for solar installation is pretty much the same as the map in the article showing where Valley fever is on the upswing.

The only way I have seen construction sites control dust was to run water trucks around once or twice a day.  Saw them do it outside Las Vegas as well.

Or row crop agriculture in the river bottoms? Irrigated cotton?

In a few months it'll be time to shut down the schools, close restaurants, mandate masks, force an untested vaccine on everyone, and vote from home again, 2024, is coming up. I need to stock up on toilet paper and paper towels.  Party like it's 2020.

My dad got Valley Fever in the mid-70’s.  Only way he found out about it was he got a chest x-ray for his pre-employment physical.  They thought he had lung cancer at first.  SWMBO got in 2002.
