Another out of control CPS story
« on: April 26, 2019, 08:31:54 AM »
https://reason.com/2019/04/25/adam-lowther-child-services-police-abuse/

The man was falsely accused of raping his daughter by a teacher, in turn the daughter was forcefully sexually assaulted by the authorities, and the man lost his career, and a fortune in money fighting false accusations and a system that wanted to make sure he was guilty regardless of a lack of evidence.
If the Dad were on trial later for going on a throat cutting rampage, I would not find him guilty of anything if I were on his jury.

Hood also noted that investigators had fed Becca false information, calling the entire enterprise into question.

This is a very important factor in dealing with children. Going back several decades, there have been many instances of people accused -- and even convicted -- on the basis of false "memories" that were implanted by investigators and/or therapists who asked questions in a leading or suggestive way, causing kids to basically say what they thought the questioner wanted to hear.
