We are witnessing the decline of the US Empire (1913-...peak c.1971...-?). There is nothing we, as individuals can do to change this course. All we can do is prepare individually, fire up some popcorn, watch and hope the corpse doesn't fall our direction.

"Hanging around with friends" definitely can have some new meanings these days  :-)


I think the vast bulk of people are just about like they always have been, but the exceptions seem to be getting weirder and weirder (especially entertainment and politics - which are about the same thing anyway)
