It appears they have 2x the required number of signatures, which should withstand challenges. And it was entirely a grassroots effort, helped along by the usual arrogance of our "betters".
This should serve a warning to DC.

Obviously, their district gerrymandering is insufficiently protective.
Watch for Colorado to address this soon.

So just a petition gets rid of a guy? It doesn't led to an election?

No, the petition sets off the election.
It's just a big deal the petition number was reached, and surpassed so easily.

I wonder how many of the people deriding this recall effort applauded the Walker recall here in WI?

If it's part of state law, then I have no problem with it. The only problem I had with the Walker recall was the typical shenanigans (outright fraud, intimidation, etc.) that the left routinely uses as part and parcel of any election effort.
However, even with all that Walker was able to to not only beat the recall, but increased his margin of victory from the previous election. Again, exposing the astroturf of the left's effort.
We shall see how this plays out. My understanding of the reason Colorado went "blue" this last election is because there were several races that had Tea Party/Libertarian candidates that split the vote with Republicans allowing Democrats (especially the Governor) to win with less than a plurality.

And GWB was evil for using drones and wiretapping and indefinite detentions. And Gitmo must be closed!!!!

I love how the internet can translate any language into anything. It makes me feel better about not having learned Morse code, or a foreign language.
Here's hoping the recall election goes as well as the petition drive.
