Good luck. Not to be a downer or anything, but I generally try not to make big life changing decisions after not sleeping for three days. Just me tho...

I give, what is your *special purpose* ??

Not to pee on your parade, but I alread have dibs on "Discord, Discontent and Confusion.  My job here is done."  There are also others who have suggested that my purpose is to serve as the "bad example".  I revel in both.

Glad to hear you know where you are going, and more importantly, why.  That wandering aimlessly in the desert has plagued folks for quite a long time, with a few getting decent direction in time to make something out of the knowlege.

stay safe.

Alright.  Sounds good and all, I guess, as long as you didn't join a cult that wears old school Nikes or apply for law school.

The next Lord of the Dance?
That is all. *expletive deleted*ck you all, eat *expletive deleted*it, and die in a fire. I have considered writing here a long parting section dedicated to each poster, but I have decided, at length, against it. *expletive deleted*ck you all and Hail Satan.

The forge was hot, but cleansing.  Lots of steps to come, some good, some bad, but steps nonetheless.

For all the questions, let me just say this.  This has to do with relationships, one in particular.  It involves a change of mindset, seemingly so simple, but became crystal clear the change would result in Many Good Things.  It's truly is a great feeling.  A little scary, too, because it involves lots of thinking, doing, and learning on my part, some of which will be difficult because it goes against my nature.  But that's the great thing about human nature, it can be changed if you want it bad enough.

The journey has begun.

Manage to get any sleep yet Brad? Prolonged sleep deprivation is a seriously unhealthy thing. Once you get past day 3 I think it might be worthwhile seeing a doc...

Slept very well last night, and about to turn in for today.  Should drop right off now that everything is okay.

You didn't shave your head, save a small circle on top, grab a coffee can, put on an orange toga and drive to the nearest airport. Did ya?  Please say no.

Seriously. May peace be with you. I don't know you but I am happy that you have found that sweet spot in your life. Some of us are still looking and hoping one day that that lightbulb will appear.

All kidding aside, I know *I* felt a heavy burden lift when I found my "purpose".

Funny thing is, most people who knew me just kinda looked at me odd, and asked "what took you so long to figure out?"

*not

Also, a ring is sufficient for a time so long as it doesn't take you TOO long to set a date.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

A ring without a date is just a pretty bauble.  A date without a ring is just a benevolent intention.

Honestly, my advice is to elope and get married in some cool place.  Switzerland on top of Jungfraujoch would be the height of cool.(1)

All assuming you know her well enough and have known her long enough.
