Windows XP Font Problem
« on: February 25, 2006, 08:50:12 AM »
For some reason Windows XP won't let me install any new fonts.  I can neither drag new fonts into the C:\Windows\Fonts directory, nor use the File -> Fonts -> Install New Font option in the menu.  It's just not there.

Any solutions?  This is really irritating!
Your secretary is not a graphic designer, and Microsoft Word is not adequate for print design.

I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

Thanks.  Actually, I downloaded and installed Tweak UI, and it has a "Repair Font Folder" option that took care of the problem.
