You might want to read this:

The rifle has been banned from Appleseed for repeated out-of-battery discharges, among other issues.

I don;t own one, but I surely do want one.  But one without the whole "fires out of battery" problem.

It's on my wish list.   I've s shot a couple.  Loads of fun.  A few friends have them, and speak highly of them.

I know someone who has one.  I sent him the link.  Thanks for sharing.

I don't know what worries me more - the out of battery discharges, discharging on sear reset, or apparently one instructor's rifle "running away" and dumping the entire mag's worth with no finger on the trigger.

Those are all *huge* safety issues...  And if S&W doesn't get ahead of them and fix these problems, they're going to have a *big* problem.

I (actually Robert) has one.   I'd have to go back and look but I know in the Owners Manual there is at one one specific type of ammo it says not to use.  I disremember what it is, but I know that I didn't have any of it.

Never had any problems (other then the occasional jam, but it's a plinker, not a carry gun) but I'll be anxious to see what S&W does about it.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.
