Same's happened here, but always, always with benign stuff.  I "remember" scenery from dreams when I see it in waking life.  The flow of a conversation, and so on.
Yes, exactly.  That's a better way of putting it.  Weird stuff.

Thanks for the introduction to something I'd never known of before, but have experienced.  ON many occassions I have controlled the course of a dream through what seemed to be conscious thought, or even terminated a dream that I found to be disconcerting.  Didn't realize there was anything special about that.

Oh, as for the gun thing, every time I have a dream with one of my guns jamming, misfiring, etc.  I take it as a subconscious reminder to put in some range time, clean and lube the guns, and get new ammo in the mags that I now know function fine.  not exactly a good scientific response to a dream, but there are a lot worse things I could do... grin
