what did i do to my lap top

and more importantly how do i fix this. my touchpad and buttons seem to have changed
the right button i use to click things open doesn't  i have to use the other less fast methods

did i accidentally change something in settings in the course of installing symantec virus protection? or in upgrading explorer? i'm a computer dolt   all help appreciated

all I know is that explorer stinks, use firefox from now on.

All I can suggest is to open Control Panel and check the mouse settings.

Check ALL of the mouse settings.

Do the right and left buttons seem reversed?  If so, go to mouse settings and correct it.  If not, load it up with all your personal and financial information, then ship it to me.

lol  you want my financial info?!     had a guy steal my id and open an account  he actually improved my credit. someone getting my stuff would be the equivalent of the illegal who stole an id  of a guy wanted for murder

If the button functions are backwards, just go to mouse settings in the control panel and change it.

If reversed as mentioned above, a software thing. If it's not functioning at all but the left button is, could be software or hardware. Try spraying some canned air in case some muck is blocking the contacts.

Did you let the kid get on it?  My monkeys tend to muss up my settings.....I prefer they don't touch the computers at all.
ES (evil spawn) number one royaly fubar'd one of the PC's font settings.  I'm too lazy too fix it.

If you had a Mac you wouldn't have this problem, nor would you be buying and installing Symantec virus software.

Because having a mac is the answer to everything.  Even if someone screws with your mouse controls.  (If it's a hardware issue, somehow I doubt that having a mac magically fixes broken equipment by virtue of being attached.)
