Claims to have a lot of degrees, but scary scary public speaker.  As an Ohioan, I apologize.

Stopped at 0:23 to reach for the desk revolver.

I'm not going back in there without backup and some long guns.  Nope!  Not gonna!

I'll presume he's not used to public speaking and this is the most nervous he has been since that time in the back seat of his girlfriend's daddy's car.  I'll also bet that he is so overwhelmed that somebody on the county party committee actually thought he could make a run for office.  (Suddenly, I'm wondering if he's been put up to make the other possible candidate actually look good. Hey!  I have degrees, too.  Also have years of experience in doing individual & group therapy, making budget requests & presentations, defending grant applications, explaining to the legislature why they should/should not do X or Y, and generally exhorting the rabble.

Does not mean I'm gonna look like a polished after-dinner speaker in spite of the literally hundereds of hours of training in presentation & public speaking I have under my belt.

Of course, I also have that "attitude" thing going on.  Usually a negative, why-do-I-have-to-drag-this-out-of-you one.  IOW, that R. Lee as therapist was toned down from my therapy observation videos. =D

Are you sure this isn't a joke?

Maybe somebody decided to take a stiff drink or two before speaking... and maybe his drinks were served in 5-gallon buckets.

he had their attention didn't he....
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

He was a guest on Red Eye this week, which is where I first saw the clip. The panel was cracking up so much at the clip that they figured they had to get him on the show.

He's actually a fairly self-effacing guy. I couldn't figure out from the interview just how seriously he takes himself (or not). He was pretty darn funny though. Apparently except for the $200 a month he gets as a councilman, he's unemployed and looking for a gig. Apparently Treasurer didn't pan out. :D
