Summary:  Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters is a tribute to 13 groundbreaking Americans that is written by Obama.  Obama is not the first president to write to young people as Jimmy Carter published a book in 1995 more than a decade after he left office.  Teddy Roosevelt teamed up with Henry Cabot Lodge to write a book before he was president.  It is a 40 page book and retails for $17.99.

I really don't know what to say about this but  :facepalm:

I salute your President and his magnificent victory in persuading Random House that a 40-page illustrated book for kids (which covers 13 subjects, so thats what an intro, and two pages for each astonishingly well known subject, minus of course the illustration space) would suffice as the third book of his previously signed million-dollar plus book deal.  

You should be proud to live in a country ran by such a financial wiz.

I don't know a lot about publishing, but I doubt Random House is disappointed.  There are at least a few million parents (just in the U.S.) who will consider this a must-have for their children to impress the other mindless drone parents. Not to mention the schools that will snap them up immediately after release.
